Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and provide scholarships for the students in Scott County
On October 26, 2012, Tyler Hicks’ life was tragically cut short due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Prior to his death, Tyler was a standout student-athlete at Scott County High School, a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and had just risen to the rank of First Lieutenant in the United States Army. Tyler was a fierce competitor on the basketball court as well as the training fields of the military. His tireless work ethic and relentless determination allowed him to be highly successful in all facets of his life. .
The Hicks Family has established the Tyler Hicks Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor Tyler’s life and to reward a standout student athlete or member of the athletic support staff who exemplifies many of the same traits that made Tyler so successful. The goal of this scholarship fund is to provide a $2,500 scholarship for four consecutive years to a deserving student athlete or member of the athletic support staff. Four years from now that will be four total persons benefiting from this scholarship, all at different stages of their college career for a yearly total of $10,000
